Donna
specialises in information technology, telecommunications, intellectual
property and general procurement matters. Donna is experienced in all
phases of the preparation and negotiation of licensing and commercial
agreements for IT and IP and general procurement transactions from
preparation of tender documents through to post-transaction contract
management. Transaction experience includes:
- large scale system implementations and outsourcing projects including single and multiple supplier arrangements
- software development, licensing, services and maintenance agreements
- enterprise-wide hardware rollouts such as desktop, copier and printer replacement projects
- intellectual property licensing, assignment and co-ownership agreements
- information technology and intellectual property issues associated with mergers, joint ventures and acquisitions
- trade mark portfolio management
- drafting and negotiating agreements for the provision of wholesale telecommunications services
- precedent library development and maintenance
- contract management documentation preparation and training
Donna
has acted for clients in a diverse range of industries including,
retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, financial services and
government as well as one of the world’s largest software companies.
This diversity means Donna is able to understand the issues faced on
both sides of transactions and provide practical and facilitative
advice.
Prior
to joining Holding Redlich, Donna was in the intellectual property and
technology practice group of one of Australia’s largest national law
firms. Donna brings a highly commercial approach to her advice having
spent a decade in the information technology industry before completing
her legal qualification, including management roles with a U.S.
software company and a major Australian bank.
